This Privacy Policy also explains the purposes for which we process your personal data, the categories of personal data we may collect, the circumstances in which such data may be shared with third parties, the measures we take to safeguard it, and the rights and choices available to you in relation to your personal data.

This Privacy Policy is published in accordance with the provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made thereunder (including the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011), the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, as applicable and as amended from time to time.

This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms and Conditions, Refund and Cancellation Policy, Shipping Policy, cookie notices, and any specific privacy notices, consent requests, or disclosures that may be provided to you at the time your personal data is collected or otherwise processed.

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to personal data collected through the website, the mobile application, account registration flows, order placement, payment interactions, returns and refunds, customer support exchanges, surveys, promotional activities, and any other touchpoint that links to or references this Privacy Policy.

In the course of using the Platform or placing an order, HighKnit may collect your billing address, shipping address, city, state, country, postal code, and such other contact details as may be necessary for account management, order fulfilment, delivery coordination, customer communication, and dispute resolution.

3.3 Order and Transaction Information

When you browse, place, modify, cancel, exchange, or return an order on the Platform, HighKnit may collect and maintain personal data relating to your order history, purchased products, cart and wishlist activity, invoice details, payment mode, payment transaction references, refund records, return and exchange records, and any discounts, wallet credits, store credits, loyalty benefits, referral benefits, or promotional redemptions used by you in connection with such transactions.

3.4 Payment-Related Information

In connection with payment processing, settlement, verification, and refund administration, HighKnit may collect or receive certain payment-related information such as payment method, transaction reference numbers, payment status, refund status, chargeback and dispute records, and limited verification data received from payment gateways or processors.

All online payments on the Platform are processed through PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment gateways and payment aggregators authorised by the Reserve Bank of India. HighKnit does not collect, store, or have access to your complete debit card number, credit card number, CVV, card PIN, net-banking credentials, UPI PIN, or bank account credentials. Such information is entered by you directly on the secure environment of the payment gateway and is processed by the payment gateway in accordance with its own privacy policy and applicable law. Where card details are retained for faster future checkout, this is done only by the authorised payment aggregator through RBI-compliant card-on-file tokenisation, with your explicit consent, and HighKnit receives only a token and limited non-sensitive identifiers (such as the last four digits, card network, and card issuer).

You are advised to review the privacy policies of the payment gateways and payment aggregators used on the Platform, as HighKnit is not responsible for the processing of personal data undertaken independently by such entities.

3.5 Device and Technical Information

When you access or interact with the Platform, HighKnit may automatically collect certain technical and device-related information, including your IP address, browser type, browser settings, app version, device type, device identifiers, operating system, network information, language settings, access times, referring URLs, cookies, SDK data, logs, and similar technical information generated through your use of the website or mobile application.

3.10 Customer Data Sharing for Logistics and Delivery Operations

To facilitate order processing, dispatch, fulfilment, and last-mile delivery, HighKnit may share limited customer information with designated logistics partners, courier service providers, and third-party operational systems involved in delivery and fulfilment management. Such sharing shall be strictly limited to the personal data that is operationally necessary for successful order completion and related service coordination.

Customer information may be transmitted through shipping labels, logistics integration layers, and connected platforms used for order management, logistics coordination, and fulfilment activities. Customer data may also be accessible across certain third-party operational platforms engaged for order management, logistics handling, and fulfilment operations. Last-mile delivery may be undertaken through empanelled courier partners engaged by HighKnit from time to time. In each case, the data shared shall remain restricted to what is necessary for the relevant service and shall be subject to the applicable commercial, operational, and contractual arrangements governing such engagement.

While HighKnit undertakes reasonable efforts to engage service providers and partners subject to appropriate contractual and operational safeguards, HighKnit shall not be responsible or liable for any act, omission, default, breach, negligence, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or processing of personal data caused by any third-party courier partner, logistics provider, operational platform, or other external service provider, except to the extent such liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Where you choose to sign in, register, or link your account using a third-party authentication or login provider, HighKnit may receive limited identity, profile, or authentication-related information from such provider in accordance with your selected permissions and the provider’s applicable privacy terms and technical settings.

4.6 Information Shared Through Logistics and Delivery Systems

To facilitate order dispatch, logistics coordination, and successful last-mile delivery, limited customer information may be transmitted to designated courier partners and relevant operational systems through shipping labels, logistics integration layers, and fulfilment platforms.
